Exchange Club Distributes 2015 Field of Honor Proceeds
The Butte Exchange Club would like to announce that its Field of Honor project generated $31,540 in net proceeds, which has been donated to local organizations. The Field of Honor was a temporary display of 1,000 American flags dedicated to our community’s heroes that was located in Butte from September 10-13, 2015.
Prior to the event, the Exchange Club had selected seven local nonprofit organizations to receive the net proceeds from this year’s Field of Honor. Those who sponsored flags could designate that their donation go to a specific organization. Otherwise, the proceeds were divided evenly. The check amounts were:
Butte United Veterans Council – $4,940
Butte Child Evaluation Center – $4,232
Shriners Hospitals for Children – $4,695
Butte Family YMCA – $4,357
Butte Family Drug Court – $4,407
Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Butte – $4,607
Butte Rescue Mission – $4,302
On Tuesday, October 20th, 2015 checks were presented to each of the nonprofit organizations at a special lunch meeting held at the Butte Country Club. The United Veterans Council presented the Colors. The Exchange Club expressed appreciation to the Event Sponsors who underwrote the costs of the event, the Flag Sponsors, and the hundreds of volunteers who helped make this project such a success.
