Youth of the Year and ACE Award Luncheon
The Butte Exchange Club will honor its Youth of the Year and the ACE Award winner at a Noon Luncheon on March 22nd at the Bert Mooney Airport. Five students from Butte High and Butte Central entered their applications and essays for the Youth of the Year Scholarship to be awarded by the Club to one of the students. This year’s essay theme for the National Exchange Club Youth of the Year Program is:
“The COVID-19 Pandemic drastically changed every aspect of our lives, in every imaginable way. Reflecting on what you learned during this time about yourself, your community and the world, explain how your perspectives on success, empathy, prioritizing, social inequities, and leadership have been reshaped.”
Also at the luncheon on March 22nd the ACE Award winner will be announced. “ACE” stands for Achieving the Challenge oi Excellence and the students applying for this Scholarship describe how they have overcome a major obstacle in their lives to be able to complete their high school education. These students and their stories are truly remarkable.
